When I am free, and am not at the office, I just search the internet looking for ways to make money on the internet. I dont mind even if I get a dollar out of something, but I look for ways. If I like the way, I continue doing it, and if I dont like it, I look for something else.
People have always been telling me about one good way of making money online is with affiliate marketing and when I decided to google for it today, what I got was affiliatecurry.com on the top. I clicked on the site, and the home page, though was not very impressive as an American site, showed some standard. I just read their terms briefly and decided to singup and give it a try. I do have a few mailing lists and yahoo groups up my sleeve, and when I pressed submit after entering all the registration details in the appropriate fields, the site welcomed me with a MySql error message.
Indians. Must have hosted the site on some stupid shared hosting package. I didn’t bother to check that, and I just went to their contact us page and got an email id, and when I came to my gmail box to mail them, I found a mail saying that I have been accepted as a member already and it had the autogenerated password too. Cool, so I went ahead and logged in.
And what I saw there was pretty cool. Lines and Lines of MySql error messages, and when I scorlled down there were categories with empty braces, and when I even scrolled down further I got another huge set of lines of error messages, and further down I found the actual affiliate programs. I read through the table, and when I decided to choose all that I wanted, i checked them and clicked on a button which asked me to click to accept all selected. And again I was greated with a bunch of error messages and at the bottom I found that out of the 14 programs that I had checked, 7 had been auto approved and 7 are still pending.
Great, will start with the 7 right away. I looked for the links for banners or flashes that I cna shoot out on my emails, and all 7 links were not working. The websites were, but the links mentioned on the affiliate programs were Not Found. No banners, and no links. Bloody Hell. Looks like all that these guys can do is SEO to make sure that the site comes on TOP of google, and absolutely nothing is inside.
